The Tim Tebow Foundation has partnered with CURE International and opened the Tebow CURE Hospital in Davao City, on 1 May 2015.
The hospital is a five-story, 30-bed facility with three operating rooms specializing in pediatric orthopedic care and features a special space set aside where children who are patients at the hospital can take a break from medical treatment and enjoy being a kid. The It is the sixth Timmy’s Playroom outside of the United States.
“I was born in the Philippines while my parents served as missionaries, and I have always had a great love and passion for the Filipino people,” Tebow earlier said.
The charitable work of famous American football player Tim Tebow has reached the disabled children of Davao with the support of the US Embassy in the Philippines.
“It is so exciting to be able to provide healing and care for these incredibly deserving children halfway around the world,” he added.
