Looking for fun under the sun? Whether it is an adrenalin-packed adventure you are searching for or simply some time off from your ordinary daily routine, this tiny patch of heaven on earth in the lovely Island Garden City of Samal in the southern tip of the Philippines is the definitely the place for you.
Adults and children alike will instantly love this place and the many adventures it offers. There is the breathtakingly long tarpaulin slide that leads to the cool and clear sea water below. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to swim, they won’t allow you to get wet without a life jacket.
Children will also love the trampoline. If they can’t handle the spine-tingling slide, let them expend their energy bouncing up and down the trampoline or bring them along for a banana boat ride. If you wish to further your island experience, you can arrange for a boat that will take you around for an island-hopping adventure, go snorkeling and see the beauty of nature under water. You will find that there is more for you to see underneath. Snorkeling gears are available at the facility too.
Yes, they have guest cabins overlooking the ocean below and can accommodate both small and large groups of tourists.
If you and your family wish to have a more private vacation, you may want to opt for the Maxima House, which is only a few meters away from Maxima Aquafun. From afar, it may look like a house on stilts a few feet above seawater, but when you come close you will find that it is actually a two-storey beach house propped up by gigantic columns several feet above seawater. It has three air-conditioned rooms upstairs, one bathroom and its own living and dining room. Below is another air-conditioned room with large glass windows that allow you to see the ocean outside. If you are the romantic type, you can choose this room and sleep with the curtains completely drawn to allow the moonlight in as you sleep. In the morning, nothing can be more fun than to strip off your pajama and jump off your window and straight into the water while your coffee is brewing. There is, by the way, a fully-equipped kitchen where you can cook your meals.
The open living room downstairs also serves as the dining hall with several lounging chairs, a long table and an outdoor shower. Family members who can’t swim need not worry because they have plenty of life jackets of different sizes. There is a kayak for you to use if you wish to go nearby Aquafun to use the tarpaulin slides.
Remember though, make your reservations ahead. You can book them at the Crocodile Park at Riverfront Corporate City, Diversion Road Maa, Davao City.
